Why People Often Once Humming Without Conscious

There is an excellent information, and certainly captivate the readers are curious about why people often spontaneously humming without realizing it.

While on the road, the vehicle or are working people sometimes do not realize is singing a song. Why a song can be recorded and sung in the head without realizing it?

The experts said the condition is called earworms (or ohrwurms in German). This condition does not mean there are parasites that enter the ear.

But since the song has been stuck in someone's head, causing 'cognitive itch' or 'brain itch', which is a requirement to fill a gap in the brain by the rhythm of the song.

Quoted from HowStuffWorks, when someone is listening to the song, it will trigger a part of the brain called the auditory cortex (auditory cortex).

Researchers from Dartmouth University found that when people listen to a song, it will automatically be filled with the auditory cortex of the song. In other words, the brain will continue singing until the song ends.

The more often the song at the hearing, then the song will be played over and over again in one's mind. Later this song will get stuck inside someone's head, so without realizing someone would sing the song.

The more people try to not think about the song, the more difficult the song was removed from the head. For example someone suddenly realized, 'Why does sing this song, do not want ah'. But increasingly do not want to sing it more difficult to track it out of the brain.

Some other experts said that earworms are one way to keep your brain busy. This condition is also known by the name 'repetunitis' to 'melodymania'.

James Kellaris of the University of Cincinnati College who had done research on earworms and brain itch said that women, musicians, people who have neurological disorders and people who are tired and stress are the group most susceptible to earworms.

In general, songs with simple melodies, cheerful, interesting or repetitive are more likely to be trapped inside someone's head. Approximately 74 percent of a person trapped by a song, about 15 percent trapped by 11 per cent of advertising jingles and songs stuck by the instrument.

Most of the earworms can disappear by itself, but if the song is very disturbing one's mind there are several things you can try to eliminate it from the head, namely:

1. Try to sing a song or play other melodies using instruments.
2. Switch to another activity that can make a person busy, so his mind was not on a track.
3. Try to listen to some types of songs.
4. Try to turn on the radio so that someone not only listened to the same song continuously.
